girls expected to go with boys in toilet buddy system...
Recently, my young son who is in grade 1, revealed that his teacher gave them the choice of choosing a boy or girl to accompany them to the toilet.
I asked him a few questions and realised he didn’t think it was unusual to 'mix it up' when you go to the toilet.
We found out that when picking a 'toilet' partner at school, the kids could pick a boy or girl- and the chosen kid had to go.
When we tried to complain (especially on behalf of girls), we got shut down by the teacher and told it was the child’s choice who they took irrespective of gender!!!
